I’m honored to share that I was featured in PitchBook’s Black Founders & Investors to Know in 2025 — a list highlighting leaders breaking ground across industries and pushing the VC ecosystem toward a more inclusive future.
The intro to the piece speaks candidly about the realities of venture capital: Black founders and investors make up a tiny percentage of the industry, and Black women even less. Progress has been slow, uneven, and hard-won — which is why being included in a community-generated list like this means so much. It reflects not only the work I’m doing, but the work our entire Shero Universe is doing to build across comics, games, film, tech, and education in a way that creates culture and community.
Shero Comics is still evolving in its journey, but recognition like this fuels our mission to build a transmedia studio where our stories, our characters, and our innovation aren’t the exception — they’re the standard. From Young Grandmaster Choi to Squad Goals, to the new titles in development, we’re creating worlds that shift what’s possible in comics, gaming, and beyond.
Thank you to PitchBook and the community that recommended me. And congratulations to every Black founder and investor on this list — may we continue expanding the table and building the future.
